“Amid the majestic ruins of Machu Picchu I muse on the bewildering romance of the ancient builders who, ages ago, sought refuge in a region which appears to have been expressly designed by nature as a sanctuary for the oppressed, a place where they might fearlessly and patiently give expression to their passion for walls of enduring beauty.”
— Hiram Bingham
“The Inca Trail was grueling, but I’m proud to say I finished it! We met the most interesting people along the way and the scenery is amazing! And of course, our prize for completing the trail was seeing Machu Picchu, truly one of the 7 Wonders of the World!”
