This journey includes 4 days of hiking the Inca trail and 3 days filled with Day Trips.

“Puerto Maldonado is known as the capital of the Biodiversity of Peru and Tambopata Nature Reserve consists of 3.5 million acres in Madre de Dios and Puno provinces. Declared a National Reserve in 1990, it shelters a wide variety of landscapes and wildlife.”
Day 1: Arrive in Tambopata, and tour Caimán Cocha
Day 2: View Lake Apu Victor, and explore Monkey Island
Day 3: Lost Cocha
Day 4: Gamitana/Briolo River
Day 5: Arrive in Cusco and tour Sacred Valley
Day 6: Train from Aguas Calientes, tour Ollantaytambo and community
Day 7: Machu Picchu citadel
Day 8: Van transfer to CUZ airport

Many international flights arrive at Lima airport in the late evening, while flights to Cusco and other domestic airports leave from 6 to 11 am. If you have a long layover and would like to add a hotel (onsite at the airport) to your package, please let us know.
